Meet Emily Quini, MD

Emily Quini, MD, began her medical education while pursuing a degree in biology at Louisiana State University. She received her medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas.

She fell in love with the city of San Antonio while completing her residency and is excited to serve the children and families of this city. She has a personal interest in caring for premature infants after spending much time in the NICU with her son while completing hermedical training. This experience provided her with a new and appreciated perspective on medical care. Additional interests include newborn care, adolescent medicine, and preventative medicine.

I entered the field of medicine to improve access to health care, help others navigate the health care system, and to provide evidence-based pediatric care to my patients. I enjoy working as a part of a team with my patients and their families to create family-centered goals and treatment plans, says Dr. Quini.

Outside of medicine, she loves spending time with her two San Antonian rescue pups, trying local restaurants and new cuisines, reading books about history and traveling with my family.
