CHRISTUS Health Networks
CHRISTUS Health manages a clinically integrated network (CIN) and an accountable care organization (ACO). These entities strive to achieve the triple aim of healthcare: better health, better care, smarter spending. The ACO and CIN negotiate on behalf of our network partners to enter into value-based contracts that provide incentive payments for improving quality and reducing cost.
An accountable care organization (ACO) is a network of primary care clinicians who work together to improve care coordination and provide health care to Medicare patients.
A clinically integrated network (CIN) is a network of multispecialty health care clinicians who collaborate to improve quality and reduce cost.
We promise to enthusiastically greet and welcome each Tyler Independent School District (TISD) employee and family member and do all we can to ensure your transition to care.
What incentive payments are in value-based contracts?
Value-based contracts have varying incentive payments. The most common are care management fees, quality bonuses, and shared savings, which include:
- Care management fees –per member per month (PMPM) payment to help support resources to care for patients
- Quality bonus – quarterly or annual bonus program that rewards practices for meeting certain quality metrics for eligible populations
- Shared savings – incentive payment with quality metrics and financial benchmark goals which, if met, will result in a distribution of the shared savings to the network
