I had a cramping/swelling issue with my knee last week and in 3 days had an appointment with Dr Carothers. He explained that sometimes in the first year it’s not uncommon for this to happen. He checked the knee and then had it X-rayed to confirm that it was fine. He then had a blood test to rule out infection. I was called by his office in 2 hours to let me know that there was no infection. I can’t tell you what peace of mind I left his office with!

Not only is his bedside manner and ability with communicating with patients unique for an orthopedic surgeon it is rare for any physician.

There was an easy give and take in the interaction that reduced the natural stress of a medical visit and its potential unknowns. I was made to feel welcomed to a new relationship that will likely extend over years of hip examinations and possibly replacements. I came away feeling reassured in all respects.

please work on financial clerks as to recording correct insurance policies information for proper reimbursement to you for charges accrued. we had to call several times to correct problems.

He’s a great guy. He can’t do my surgery for 3 months. That’s too long to wait when you’re in severe pain.
