Interdisciplinary Simulation Centers
The simulation program is designed to offer state-of-the-art recreations of clinical events and potential patient complications in a safe and controlled environment. This allows physicians and associates from various clinical disciplines to test their readiness, recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions by using life-like mannequins, simulators, task trainers, and standardized patients.
We prioritize the quality of care we deliver to our patients and increase the skill sets and training efficiency for our Associates. In addition, our centers are utilized as training sites for research of new equipment and clinical processes and procedures. It allows researchers to gather data on how patients are likely to respond to changes in patient care protocols. Each finding is a possible precursor to subsequent research or clinical trials involving live subjects or conducted as stand-alone simulated research projects.
As community partners, our interdisciplinary simulation centers are available to other healthcare and educational institutions for various courses, educational opportunities, and a conference site.
If you are interested in utilizing one of CHRISTUS Health’s Simulation Centers for a conference, course or training, the Letter of Intent (LOI) and Use Agreement are downloadable and available for your review. Please keep in mind that these documents are in draft form. All final LOI’s and Use Agreements are tailored specifically to fit the needs of your Organization and your requested training requirements.
